Professor Julia Mihyun Kho, a soprano singer
who has recently obtained a doctorate in conducting as well as a doctorate in
vocal music through active performances, social contribution activities, and
research activities, is enjoying world-wide popularity. She is going to perform
an invitational performance at the “Sounds of Spring” concert in New York. This
concert is well-known in New York as a classical music festival in which great
classical musicians and large-scale orchestra participate. For the success of
this performance, António Guterres, the current Secretary-General of the United
Nations, is scheduled to attend in person, and many celebrities such as former
Presidents George Bush, Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump are congratulating this
concert. At the official ceremony held along with the performance, Professor Kho
will be inducted as Vice President of the New York Opera Association, and she
will also receive the New York City Council Achievement Award.

and first made her name known on the overseas stage by performing with the
legendary conductor Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra,

who impressed many people through numerous performances on world-class stages
such as the Sydney Opera House and Berlin Konzerthaus, is also recognized for her

Currently serving as the professor of Korea
National University of Education, Professor Kho holds key positions in the
music world, such as the Advisor to the National Association of Female
Professors, the President of the Korean Society for Vocal Education, and the President
of the Korea Choral Education Association, leading a wide range of activities
such as research activities, nurturing young people, and contributing to
society. In particular, since 2010, Professor Kko has established the
Ambassador's Wives’ Choir in Korea and has been widely publicizing the beauty
of Korean choral music both at home and abroad and contributing greatly to
private diplomacy. As Kodai, a world-renowned musicologist, emphasized that
“chorus is a very important element of music education and the mother of
character education,” Professor Kho recently opened the Korea Choral Education
Association website (www.kfce.org). She is carrying out music education
activities through next-generation chorus with pre-service music teachers and
incumbent music teachers who play a pivotal role in music education.

Her performances, research, and social
contribution activities have been recognized domestically and internationally,
and she has won numerous awards in Korea, such as the <Woman of the Year in
Culture> by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Recently, she won
the Korean Culture and Arts Contents Grand Prize held by the Education
Committee of the National Assembly, and the 33rd Today's Musician Award hosted
by the Korea Music Critics Association and the Korea Art Critics Association’s
'Korean Vocalist Grand Prize' were awarded, and in the academic category,
'Today's BEST Music’, 'The 9th Sejong Music Awards', and 'Korea Music
Association 2015 Korean Music Awards Achievement Award'. In 2010, she also won
the Korean Opera Grand Prize, which is recognized as the highest award in the
Korean opera industry. In 2009, she received the 'Proud Australian Alumni
Culture and Arts Award' from the Embassy of Australia in Korea and the
'Colombian Music Award' from the Embassy of Colombia in Korea.

Professor Julia Mihyun Kho has been working
hard to popularize classical music by gaining public popularity through
numerous broadcast appearances such as KBS and MBC. In particular, she appeared
